Just now I walked into the kitchen. There leaning over the stove was otraynor. She was scraping a Marmite jar into a saucepan.

"I hope this isn't the last of the Marmite" she said

"I believe it is" I bleated

"Too bad, the horses are getting it".

It was then that I truly knew my place.

Alas, were it not for my injured foot and Mrs C's incompetence at food shopping, your M**rmite supply problems would have been over last weekend.

Perhaps Loblaws will deliver?

No Frills has it, three miles away. The price is alarming though so I guess I'll wait on the next Red Cross Parcel.

Love the stuff. Delicious on hot buttered toast. I also use it as a gravy browning, yum yum lovely gravy.

Have also heard, but not put to the test as I still have a good head full of hair, that if you rub in into the old bald patches it encourages hair growth  Could someone please try this and report back??;)

I heard that once too. I'm afraid I can't help in your quest for evidence, though, - I'm sufficiently confident in my virility (or just resigned to the inevitable) that despite my lack of hair I am not about to waste precious Marmite by rubbing it into my scalp!!

now I dont mean anything by this, no particular person in mind when I say it, but bald is sexy, so marmite rubbing would be a waste of marmite

Marmite is good, but Vegemite is better in my opinion - milder flavour. (Not that I'm a Vegemite connoisseur or anything :D)
