Cricket - Toronto area

Hi guys.. new to the forum two threads in a day.. so hope i'm not spamming

I am aware there are various leagues in Toronto area but I was wondering if anyone knew of any teams that specifically have (don't take this the wrong way i'll explain in a second) Canadians / Brits / Aussies / SA's / Caribbean peeps mainly playing with them.

From what I've seen on a few league websites that the teams mainly seem to be full of 1st generation immigrants from South Asia which is great, but for cricket is 90% having beers and laughs after a few games and from my experience in the UK 1st gen south Asian immigrants have quite large cultural differences and don't ever tend to get involved in that sorta way!

Hope no ones offended?

I'd guess the way in would be to get involved in clubs with sporting connections that have the desired demographic. I don't know about cricket but the Balmy Beach Club and the Tranzac Club involve drinking and rugby and being foreign. Perhaps find some like-minded people there?

I don't know Balmy Beach, but the Tranzac club have a cricket squad. A NZ-Canadian friend of mine used to open the batting for them.

Might be easier than I thought to get a game, kiwis and aussie's are usually good cracks as well. Ta for that chaps!
