What a match. Great last over by Woods

Re: Cricket

Yep, Just glad they didn't give the ball to stokes for the last over, could have had a repeat of the 2016 T20 world cup final. England must be favorites for the champions trophy, just need to sort out the opening batting partnership. Where's Boycott and Edrich when you need them.
Been a long day up at 3am for the cricket, then the FA cup final, still got the RFU premiership final to watch. tomorrow have the Monaco grand Prix and the Indy 500 don't think my liver can take much more!!

Respect. I was up just as SA started to bat. The test series is a different matter and takes much higher level of commitment on my part.

Thanks for that Cheltonian. I forgot about Talksport, saw TMS was off air & had resigned to cricinfo updates.

There are highlights on BBC2 around midnight BST

If anyone's got friends or relatives with a SKY subscription in the UK, ask if you can access one of their multiple device SKY Go log-ins. We log into SKY and can stream or download anything that the user's account is subscribed to. We use Hide My Ass VPN and the HD streaming quality is excellent, but SKY Go is a bit fussy about which web browser it likes.

Re: Cricket

That was fun.

But we really do need to replace Roy with YJB.

Also feel Ball might be a bit out of his depth at this level.

And Woakes crocked too....

Bowling a concern

scrubbedexpat134 Jun 1st 2017 7:01 am

Re: Cricket

Yes Bairstow in Roy out, these pitches are not prepared by the local grounds man but by ICC grounds men so they wont seam and the white ball only swings for a couple of overs so you must play the leggy for a bit of variety. When we play NZ it will interesting to see if Trent Boult can get the ball to seam. I don't like these pitches that are made for batsmen, you have to give the bowlers a chance, at the moment the bowlers are on a hiding to nothing.

Good result today for England - if we beat one of Oz / Kiwis & we're through

Bad news re: Woakes.

That was splendidly silly. The curse of Nelson got me while I was eating my lunchtime sandwich - caught out by a long-hop on 111.

A bit distracted by the text commentary, though. A good game against the Kiwis, this pyjama cricket stuff is looking a little promising for England. Here's hoping the form will translate to the test arena.

Looking forward to the test series vs South Africa.

In the meantime, the silly stuff is a welcome distraction.

I hit 90% of my shots to the leg side when in actuality I'm much more dominant on the off side when playing in real life. I suspect that it was because there was a large foreboding laurel bush on the leg side of my back garden but apart from Mrs Bowden's strawberry cloches, the offside was pretty clear.

Oh well played Oink. I enjoy the cover drive...aesthetically pleasing in real life and on google doodle

Anyone listening to the Pak vs RSA match ? Corker. AB going for a golden duck was as enjoyable as it was unexpected.

Yes, got a brilliant stream. Although you'd think after six years, people wouldn't still walk in the my office and say, "ooh what's that they're playing? How boring, how can you watch something that lasts five days?"

This is the best game of the tournament so far.

I play up to local indifference by describing timeless tests.

And pointing out that Canada vs USA at cricket is the oldest international event *in any sport.*

I thought the rain & D/L brought a whole new element to the Pak/SA match, and quite an intriguing one at that.

Whenever Morkel was bowling, you felt a wicket was just around the corner, changing the D/L calculation. Pak had no choice but to stay ahead, as rain threatened at any point.

Well I enjoyed it anyway.

Yep, felt like 1992 WC all over again.

Well played Pakistan - consistently inconsistent.
Or was today inconsistently consistent ?

I fear the SAs will rip his poor footwork apart. Hopefully I'm proved wrong. There's going to be a lot of pressure on him as this is his last chance to make it at test level.

Re: Cricket

His performance at county level is excellent but he just does not seem able to take that final step up to Test level, which is a shame. I think he will have trouble against Rabada
