I fear the SAs will rip his poor footwork apart. Hopefully I'm proved wrong. There's going to be a lot of pressure on him as this is his last chance to make it at test level.

His performance at county level is excellent but he just does not seem able to take that final step up to Test level, which is a shame. I think he will have trouble against Rabada

Philander bowled well but not that well and there was no excuse for losing the first three wickets like that. Why Cook was wafting about that early on is strange, Jennings was clearly not out and should have reviewed. Balance was in his cement boots again. Bairstow was at least done by a decent ball. Had SA caught properly then we'd of been stuffed. Still a good day of cricket. :thumbup:

England would be better off with Les Dawson.
