Interesting how US and Canada react to airline refunds in this situation. US airlines and airlines with flights to/from the US tried to do the same crap, but US DOT stepped in and issued a warning to airlines telling them to follow the law or risk enforcement action. Of course it only applies to involuntary cancellations.
