To the OP....yes it's true kitchens and bathrooms sell a home. The question you have to ask yourself though is, are you going to be there long term to enjoy granite?

If you are just going to be there a few years, then Quartz is fine and better than laminate. The size of the kitchen also matter when you decide to invest in granite

Does a smaller kitchen not deserve granite, or are you merely pointing out the obvious that it'll cost more for a larger space?
