And yes, Millie is a sensible woman. I should probably just have given her a +!.

I was not mocking anybody - if you read my post carefully you would have seen that I was commenting on the fact that although my neighbour knew where Two-knees-ya is, he did not know where Chew-nisha is. I was merely commenting on the non-understanding on his part of the same word. There was no piss-taking per se involved..... still made me smile though.

In this instance I was again just making a comment that it made me smile - oh the joys of the varieties of English. He is a knob though who is always taking this piss out of my accent in a Dick Van Dyke voice.

Surely if it's a Liverpool thing you mean dickhead ! ;)

If it's in a Scouser accent the spelling of it would be food for another thread.

I'm sorry here - but in what way was the language in my post crass and vulgar. Do you mean the meaning of the words or how I wrote them?

I asked the gobby neighbour what he had been up to recently and he told me he had been cottaging all weekend, to which I replied if he had taken his dog and been dogging too. He said "Yes, my wife and I also went dogging"

My son (19) nearly shat himself! Haha
Well it's hardly Jane Austen..

That reminds me that Izzard is touring Canada soon. He must be better known than I thought. He's doing four nights in Massey Hall.

The radio advert for the Ottawa show features this:

"You say erbs and we say herbs, because it's got a f*****g H in it!".

I imagine his routine will include more of the same. Perhaps even cottaging.

+1
