why would you apply for something you don't need?

It's the payment that you do not apply for. It's based on the regular GST credits and just turns up. Hence the reference to having received it ;)

The only one close to what you posted is that he is overweight - however it is highly unlikely that he has a BMI of over 40.

Perhaps you are more interested in flamebait.....

From your link "a weakened immune system as the result of conditions such as HIV and AIDS, or medicines such as steroid tablets or chemotherapy". Surely alcoholism counts as something that would weaken the immune system in the manner of chemotherapy. Obesity affects one's health on a scale, granted he's not the fattest person ever to move under their own steam but that sagging countenance suggests he's well on the way. I really didn't think this would be controversial, he's a picture of ill health and that does not bode well for adding a serious illness.

He's a shit, of course, and the UK would be the better had he not been born, but that's beside the point; the claim was "no underlying health conditions" - The very thought of pressing one's hand into the loose, pallid flesh of his face counters that notion. He's not like that nice Ms. Markle and her beau, they'd be a good bet to survive a bout of the CV.

Consider for a moment...if Commie Corbyn had become PM and became infected with COVID 19.......Dianne Abbott would be running the country.....

Anybody wearing a mask when they go out now? The advice to wear them seems quite weak. I may try to make the Guardian version later...

No nonsense news, this is what people need to hear before they decide to 'go for a walk' this weekend. Trust me, everyone else will have the same idea as you and the trails will be packed.

I suggested that Mr. Johnson has a great number of self-induced health conditions and so it'd wouldn't be particularly frightening if he were to die I surprised that anyone would take "fat drunk" to be putting the boot in when describing someone who's primary characteristics are being fat and drunk.

That he seems on the road to recovery is quite cheering for the rest of us unhealthy people, even if it is him.

Yes that's what I said in my initial post, and I still believe it to be true.

Ok hes a bit overweight, and likes a few drinks, don't we all? I know quite a few people like that, including myself, although not carrying as much weight as Boris, (and I did lose a lot of weight and have kept it off), but I am still partial to a few drinks, I don't think I would consider myself to have underlying health issues for Covid-19 to attack me in a severe way like it has with Boris.

It seems to affect everybody in a different way, not necessarily based on heath and age. That's the scary part. You just seem to have a personal dislike for Boris, which you are entitled to, but I don't think your argument of his lifestyle has any bearing on his Covid-19 related condition.

Oh, I should think he'd be quite fun in a pub, in a patronising "pater will pay" kind of way. I wouldn't want to have a child by him, I wouldn't believe anything he says and I don't think he should hold any sort of office but I wouldn't say I dislike him.

Re: Coronavirus

Jobless rate pushed up to 7.8% with more than 1 million jobs lots, economists had estimated job loss at 500,000.

BC lost more than 132,000 jobs in just one week.

BC unemployment rate rose to 7.2%

Guess some jobs might return while companies are getting wage subsidy, but once that ends, doubt companies will keep everyone, Air Canada for instance, only reason they are putting 16,000 back on payroll is because of the wage subsidy, if not for that they would not be bringing the employees back to payroll, the employees are not actually working though since there is no work to be done.

But considering BC lost 132,000 in just 1 week in March, should wake up those who keep screaming the government should not be going into debt with these programs and that there are plenty of jobs, which clearly isn't true.

BC is going to spend $5 million to boost some virtual mental health resources. And the government actually said they recognize that for too long mental health and addiction supports have relied on how much money you had in your bank account, maybe this virus will lead to long term changes.

""We fully recognize that, too much through our history, access to mental health care or addiction support has depended on the size of your bank account. "

The prime ministers comments today does not bring optimism things will return to normal anytime soon.
