Air Canada is suspending service to Beijing and Shanghai through end of February. BA has done the same to mainland China, American Airlines plans to suspend service between Los Angeles and Shanghai and Beijing from Feb 9th to March 27th citing decreased demand to China.

US has it's first case of human to human transmission, the woman in Chicago infected someone who lives with her.
US did a good job at containing SARS so hopefully the same will occur with this virus. |

Previous warning was to avoid non-essential travel. As of 12:45am PST Canada still showing only to avoid non-essential travel. AA pilots in the US are trying to get a court order to force the airline to suspend flights, the crews dont want to fly to China they typically spend 32 hours on layover before their return back to the US. |
