Re: Coronavirus
Manitoba reported 502 cases today, that is quite a large number for a fairly small population.

Re: Coronavirus
Looks like NO more AstraZeneca coming to Ontario anytime soon.
Still haven't heard from any officials saying whether a second dose of another vaccine is ok and time is running out for us that had the jab 10+ weeks ago.
Anyone heard anything?

Re: Coronavirus
BC hinted last week they may when the time comes let people choose Pfizer or Moderna for their 2nd shot, sounded like they don't expect to receive sufficient supplies to give everyone a 2nd dose of AZ who needs one.

Re: Coronavirus
BC tabled legislation that will bring in paid sick leave, initially just for COVID related leave, but in January 2022 they appear to plan to make it permanent for all employees with changes to the employment standards act. It's estimated that 50% of the work force does not have access to paid sick time.

One thing for sure they won't shut Pearson down for passenger flights and now many refuse to quarantine so don't expect anything different.

Re: Coronavirus
I thought awhile ago that International Travel was nothing to worry about as the cases were low and people arriving were providing negative test results? There again it could be the hotel employees who are infected and passed it on.

Re: Coronavirus
When we emigrated we arrived in Toronto on a domestic flight. Air India from Heathrow to Kennedy then America from La Guardia to Toronto. Anyone coming through a hub would count as domestic and Detroit, for example, had multiple landings per evening from China which then filled multiple jets to Toronto while I was commuting that way.
