Quebec has more cases than Mexico, so hopefully there wont be an outbreak in the interior.

What attracts Quebec folks to these jobs? The times I have seen ads in the lower mainland, the pay doesn't seem great.

My body is old and sore and I probably wouldn't last an hour doing it.

Necessity...my body is older and more tired than yours, but if my family required it I would do it again...nobody wants, but family needs...

My daughter went to see a house that's for sale in Vancouver, there were 60 showings scheduled for the weekend. That'd be a house with flat surfaces and 120 people sneezing on them.

If one is physically unable to do something due to pain/other health issues, the person wont be able to do it necessity or not.

Quebec youth have been coming to BC for fruit picking well before COVID so its not necessity, they could easily get a job closer to home most years that likely pays better.

I feel like the media is complicit in setting the public mood on lockdown. Obviously there are some extreme cases (domestic abuse, inadequate housing, mental issues) where lockdown is a severe challengs, but it's not the case for the vast majority. And yet they bang on about people's mental health and hardship and frustration. As Cuomo said, the alternative is death (if not personal, then someone elses). I was pleased that BoJo the Clown at least took a firmer line yesterday on UK lockdown (for the time being).

With the increasing likelihood that we'll have to wear face masks in public soon, people may be wondering where they can get them from.

Amazon has proved unreliable with sellers disappearing - although your money is safe.

But Walmart.ca is advertising them on-line from third party sellers. Maybe that will prove more successful.

I tried this a few times and finally got it right on my 3rd attempt. The Lady with the socks, not the T-shirt bloke. I have loads of socks.

If you can't blow out the flame what's breathing like?

That too.

I went shopping on March 18th. Blood test on April 1st was the only time I went out since.

6 weeks tomorrow.

Compulsory to wear masks in the hospitals in NB now but they'll be giving you one upon entry.

I mean it's a mask, breathing feels restricted no matter what you are wearing even though it really isn't. The thing I like about the sock mask is the comfort. The whole mask wearing thing thing just feels weird to me. I haven't gone out in one yet, only practising in the house so far.

Top tip: When shifting perspectives, throughly wash your adult entertainments. The casual wipe on the pillow is not sufficient "in these times."

Re: Coronavirus

New information released today about the virus.

NHS England has recommended health trusts assess Black, Asian and ethnic minority (BAME) workers as "at potentially greater risk" from coronavirus.

The official guidance says UK and international data indicates "people from BAME backgrounds are also being disproportionately affected by COVID-19".

But for some reason India has got off lightly? it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
