Coronavirus

Re: Coronavirus
With regards to figures, Canada seems to be on the slow burn with similar rates to most of Europe right now - personally think that'll be the rate till winter, then it'll pick up a bit more - and we'll be back here with similar rates this time next year, with lower death rates as the most vulnerable will already have been picked off.

I'm not saying that additional precautions and due care shouldn't be taken, especially at the US border, I just think there are better ways of handling it that's all. Forcing someone into mandatory isolation when they've done nothing wrong and in some cases can be arriving from a place where the virus barely exists just seems a little bit cruel.

Re: Coronavirus
1)virus has been shown to survive longer in cooler temperatures, and damp environments. Winter is cooler and damper
2) UV has been shown to kill the virus, less of that in winter.
3) people will be less likely to spend time outside at restaurants, bars etc. as temperature drops and will move indoors
4) Overall outdoor activities will be replaced by indoor activities (swap hiking for bowling, running outside for gym running, going the mall as a family outing etc).
5) People will brush covid off as a cold/normal flu - now the whole world ducks if someone coughs/sneezes, that'll subside in winter.

In no particular order reasons why it may jump up. Aside from the stock its a flu like virus, flu is more prevalent in winter

Thank you. That all makes perfect sense.

Re: Coronavirus
Well for one it's essentially saying that everyone from the outside world is potentially diseased isn't it. It's all a bit medieval when you think about it.
