anyone know where I can get Ambrosia creamed rice in Kelowna, my husband is desperate now!!!!

Here in Edmonton....I have seen it in a few places...Superstore and Safeways.

Not sure if it tastes the same though....I haven't tried it. :)

I have only seen the Low Fat version...............have a tin in the cupboard as we speak.

Hi,
Have you tried Sunshine Markets? They've got a UK section there with Bisto and custard powder etc. They may have some.
Do you know where it is? If not let me know and I'll give you directions.

I tried that while in Tenerife........I don't know whether the tin had gone off or that's what it normally tastes like....it was disgusting!!!!!

Yep definitely in Superstore, just seen it but only the low fat version like other posts have said. Tastes just the same, i think you must have had a bad batch.
They also had Tapioca if you like that kind of thing :eek: , now that wasn't low fat.

Err not sure where Edmunton is. But if you go up Lakeshore towards Upper Mission and past Anne Mcclymont school, it's just before you get to the Minstral Cafe on the right hand side.
I'm going to have a look for you today and I'll let you know later if they've got any :)

:( Sorry. Went in, they do everything but rice pudding.
Branston Pickle, mushy peas, Robinsons squash even Angel Delight, but no Rice pudding. Have you thought about making some? Very easy

There are a couple of general stores which may carry it, Real Canadian Superstore & possibly Safeway?

I do remember my wife taking me to Sunshine Market when I first arrived back in 2002, my wee Scottish face lit up when I saw how much British products they had on their shelves.

My wife found me on one aisle speaking to a British woman about British foods. It's probably the longest chat i've ever had in any store, ever!! *chuckles*

I think I found Bisto Granules, Tunnock's teacakes & many other 'Brit things' It really depends from one month to the next, but you can usually find a few handy, well missed items.

Our local supermarkets have just started stocking 'Penguin biscuits'

McVitites seem to be pretty popular here....you can get lots of those yummies that you are familiar with, if you so desire !!!!! ;)

Better than my 1st deal here in Kelowna mate! .... a packet of Prawn Cocktail Walkers Crisps for approx $1.70, only to get home and find they were out of date! (tasted like rubber) *sobs*
