Yes the soap was blue.

I think you used too much soap. Just keep trying to blot it out with water.

Next time you sweat the bed might get frothy. Try not to worry;)

That's the problem with forums.

You go on asking for innocent advise and then negative trolls come along and shoot you down.

I want to clean it properly because it is a nice mattress. Only two years old and would be better served if someone else used it and it was not thrown in a skip.

Honest. You've already got your answer. Chlorox will work fine too.

I was thinking of getting a pro into do it. Does anyone know the cost of one of those?

Could it be that "sleep sweat" is his euphemism for some other type of bodily fluid leakage? Nudge nudge, wink wink.

As I pointed out on here before, Simmon's, Serta, Sealy etc. have plants all over the place and it's unlikely if you sleep on one of their mattresses that a different mattress bought at a different time and place would be the same. Or even that similar.

That was the reason I ended up going with an IKEA mattress. After seven previous attempts. In a year.

Anyway my solution to protecting the mattress is not just to have a mattress cover, you can get totally airtight ones, but also to have a mattress topper which makes the whole thing more comfortable anyway. E.g. you get a latex mattress and a latex topper as well.

Try using a steam cleaner to 'lift' the stain rather than add more liquid to dilute the stain. I have read somewhere before that the worst thing to do is clean a mattress stain using soap and water as it makes the stain look worse.
