Citizen test on Thursday- when will ceremony be?

Hubby and I are going for citizen test this Thursday at 10.30am. We have pr cards, health cards, landed papers, british passports etc. He has a driving license, but I had to send mine in last week- I am a class 2 driver and need to renew every 2 years, had to be done in time for expiry date. My question is, can i give them the temp dl- the blue paper the license people give you and maybe my works id card- has my photo on it- school bus driver?

Also, I dearly want to go back to uk Dec 29th to Jan 12th, can I do the ceremony when we want, or do they just send us a date and we have to be there- will they take my PR card away from me on test day- I am in Calgary

Thanks

Sue

Can't help with the first part, but when I got the call to show up for the ceremony I couldn't be there because of previously arranged business travel abroad. I called to be told, no problem, just put that in writing and we'll call you for the next available date, which turned out to be about a month later.

They won't take the PR card until you are a citizen.

Thank you very much for that reply. I also spoke to the citizen test callcentre today- you are so right, they don,t take your PR card, but it may be 6 months after the test that we get to do the Ceremony!
