Re: Christmas Shingdig in Toronto :
Still the 30th? Hmm. I shall have a think. I really should get out to one of these things, given the amount of time I've been on the forum. What time's it start, given I usually finish work at 4.
I know, most info is somewhere in the thread, but right now I am feeling incredibly lazy, and it has been one of "those" days.

We'll be fashionably late at 6-6:30.
See you there?

Most people show up between 6 and 7, with a few others coming in after that.
So whenever you can make it down would be fun!
I actually work in Mississauga, but I finish at a reasonable time. Mr Schnooks usually leaves work around 6 and gets there not long after that.

Where's the best place to park?

Re: Christmas Shingdig in Toronto :
Not sure offhand but Green P is usually cheapest and they have lots all over, check their website for the lot locator, I've issued it before. Should be maybe $8 ish after 6 pm for the night.

The majority of people show up from 6pm onwards... some of us that finish earlier sometimes meet up earlier than that. (I'll get a 4:30 train into Toronto which gets me in around 5:15, so I'm meeting JamesM at the pub around 5:30 for an early start to things as he also finishes work a bit earlier!)

LOL. Accurate description!

Thanks for the replies. I'm still considering it, but likely to appear. Looks like it'll be 40 mins from the office to get there, so I figure probably 5 ish.
Library room or something isn't it?
I shall *try* to behave myself, ie; not get totally blotto

As to not getting totally blotto, why come at all?

Ta, we'll aim for one of those. The latest plan is that Batsman is coming too so we will arrive around 8pm. Try not to be too drunk before then.

Yes. As you come in off the Lakeshore/Gardiner onto Yonge Street (North) you take the first right on to the Esplanade.
Then about fifty yards down you turn right onto Church street and there is a car park with a fixed fee straight ahead that you can't miss.
For the day it's usually $9 so I'd guess similar for the evening.
If you miss the Esplanade which looks narrow due to the scaffolding currently there making it one lane you can just take the next right you can and then right on Church again. The car park is at the southern end of Church and cannot be missed.
