Since they clearly are shipwrecked without razors (look at Dad!), her pubic hair probably resembles a crocheted place mat like your Nan used to make out of that funny, scratchy wool - you know, the ones that never lay flat on the table and curled up when you put the teapot on them.

Her embarrassment about this is probably why she has made everyone wear the leaves.
