CHAV storm brings havoc to Newfoundland.........
Tropical storm Chantal (which seems an awfully chav name for a weather event) has dumped 9cm of rain on us so far causing chaos: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/newfoundlan...ing-storm.html . It also means we don't get a day off today as the St John's Regatta has been postponed til tommorrow. It's the only public holiday I know of that's linked to the weather!

It's already missed you. Tropical storms (& Nor'Easters in the fall/winter) head up the coast from the Carribean passing NS/NB/PEI & NL before heading out into the Atlantic.
The rains stopped now but they reckon we had over 10cm. In 12 hours or less!

That seems to happen a lot - they tell us terrible storm on way but then it by-passes most of NS, hits Cape Breton and then on to you guys
