Sad day.

It's one of those cancers that needs massive amounts of funding to try and find ways to treat it more effectively, and find ways to screen for earlier detection.

It's a silent ticking time bomb, and by the time symptoms appear, too late really.

I knew a consultant a number of years ago, and he said that if he got jaundiced over 55 years of age with no pain or fever, then he would kill himself rather that waste time etc trying to treat it. In the end he didn't need to, an airliner crash in Spain where all lives were lost was his end. He was head of Sheffield Blood Transfusion service

He worked up to nearly the end. October 29 was his last day in the studio, he taped enough shows to get to Christmas Day.

Hahhahahahha I just saw Peter Sutcliffe on BBC and thought "oh god BE is going to come after me..." You did not disappoint!!!

It was an ambulance chaser pick, though, as I happened to read something online that said he was clinging to life. Turns out it was true this time...! 26 points for me on that one. I'll update the spreadsheet when I'm on my laptop later.

I do tend to do a bit of strategic googling, I admit, lol.
