How old is Oink? Even when I was late teens I would never have considered 50/60 as old or past it.

I don't follow this thread, but saw this article last night which some of you might like about the rise in numbers of celebrities dying in 2016:

Why so many celebrities have died in 2016 - BBC News

Thank you Snowy, a most interesting article.

Oink's real name is Dorian Gray....in 40 years time, when a majority of us have dropped off our perch, Oink will still be on here bemoaning the Cradles, and advising enthusiastic ex-pats that they'd probably be better off relocating to the Cotswolds....he may have a point

I was wondering that too - More likely OD if indeed that is the cause of death from the oxycodone- or as we call it "Hillbilly Heroin""- nasty stuff that I avoid prescribing like the plague. (No I don't prescribe the plague either Bristol before you suggest that )
TMZ isn't the most reliable source of accurate news. Toxicology takes about 6 weeks after the PM/autopsy

It didn't even occur to me.

I must be slipping.

Not only that, unless I'm reading it wrong it appears to be describing what the medical emergency/plane landing was about several days before when he was treated and then sent on his way.

I assume that they'd have discovered any likely fatal damage it caused.

Or not.

Guardian suggests "he may have become gravely ill days earlier, but declined a lengthy stay in hospital."

How many oxycodone-ratio would he have to have taken to prompt the previous visit? If it was a bad reaction rather than an overdose I suppose there'd be less reason to suspect suicide. Six weeks is a long time to wait.

Depends on his previous useage/tolerance development. There isn't really much of a hurry, he isn't going anywhere..sadly - that is typically how long it takes to get samples all processed
