Caretaker

Yesterday Caretaker had an accident at work. He has a torn quadriceps tendon, which requires surgery. Sounds like the surgery will be sometime today. Recovery will be a long process, he could be off work for 6 months.

Good luck today Caretaker, please keep us up to date with your progress.

And defiantly keep us informed about the hospital menu. Hope you have a friend sneaking you in a micky or two of whisky.

Hope the op has gone well and you are being waited on hand and foot! :)
Don't forget to put in a claim under wcbsask - https://www.wcbsask.com/ - (workers comp) you should receive some recompense for your workplace injury and subsequent rehab.. at least then you won't have to worry about how to pay your bills etc. :D

That sucks, if you are reading this, I hope you make a complete recovery.

At least you get to spend the coldest 6 months of the year at home, indoors and in the warm.

Fast recovery caretaker. Hope the pain isn't too bad and that you are soon back to make the meals that you enjoy.

I think that too. Hopefully Mr C will update us tomorrow...thru a haze of painkillers. Although he will probably post pics of some concoction he’s whipped together for breakfast for the nurses. :D

I just got back to the room after about 4 hrs in OR and 2 hrs in recovery to bring my BP down. The spinal anesthetic didn't t work very well so I had a general on top of that.

4 hrs....what did they do a brain transplant? Sleep well tonight and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. How long will you be in hospital for?

Good to see you're back in the land of the living, that's a long time to be in surgery. I'm glad you had a general anesthetic (eventually), who wants to be awake when all that's going on.

Rest up, obey the nurses (!) and I hope you get something tasty to eat when you're feeling up to it.

Hopefully the worst is behind you now. Rest, TV and maybe some kind of Cheesecake should help the healing process.
