Re: Cannabis
Is everyone stocking up on munchie food for Wednesday night?
Looks like NB is getting ready for instructions on how to roll a joint.

Re: Cannabis
I dont smoke pot so no difference to me about its legalization, the strata is scrambling to update the no smoking signs to also include a photo of a pot leaf.
From what I understand in BC, come Wed there will only be 1 physical store selling, up in Kamloops, but apparently will be online portal to buy from.
For a bit in Vancouver for example, it could become more difficult to buy pot if the dispensaries follow the government orders to close.

Re: Cannabis
I've seen people buying pot by the handful right behind the Vancouver police station while detectives stood on the back step smoking cigarettes and watching; they didn't seem concerned. The dispensaries didn't close before when the police were busting them because profits were so much higher than the cost of lawyers and fines, I can't see it changing unless they really crack down. In Regina they shut down the illegals which already had a loyal customer base, so that might foster some resentment against the new legal shops. They'd have to give me a heck of a good deal to get my business.

Re: Cannabis
Some of the dispensaries have already announced they will be closing as they wish to have legal stores under the new law, and the province has made it pretty clear that staying open after October 17 will affect their ability to do so, so those companies are choosing to close.
I do have a feeling though the province will crack down on illegal dispensaries in the coming months.
I am sure some of the shadier places will remain open for as long as they can though.

Re: Cannabis
If this doesn't get at least some of the provinces to review their Draconian and entirely outdated liquor laws then nothing will.

Re: Cannabis
BC online store (should) will be live at midnight.
Orders will ship within 48 hours of being placed and shipping will be via Canada Post and cost $10.
Canada post will age verify if the customer appears under 25.

Re: Cannabis
There should be a senior's discount. The street price is significantly lower than the government legal pot price almost everywhere (and especially in BC) so there's going to be some competition.
