I am guessing into China

He had told the court that he was a “tourist visiting China and framed by criminals,”

A former oil worker, Robert Lloyd Schellenberg, was initially arrested back in 2015 on suspicion of smuggling more than 200 kilograms of methamphetamine into China.

The court said Schellenberg had conspired with others in an attempt to smuggle 222 kg (489.43 lb) of methamphetamine from China to Australia in late 2014.
Reuters

I think the more interesting aspect of this story is whether China is using this sudden death penalty to exert leverage on Ms Huwawei arrested in Vancouver. It's a demonstration of Chinese power.

As a serial offender, with escalating magnitude of offences, I would agree. The world will be a better place without him.

Also Canada has a big problem with drugs coming from China, It would be as well to discourage Canadians from participating in that business.
