I've always been pleased we did that because we immediately clued in to the vastness of the US.

Canada of course is even bigger.

Fare ffs.

Did you have a Kerouac in your backpack too? It must have been a memorable trip.

"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" IIRC

I'm trying FFS! Being ill is no fun at the best of times. Being ill when you are stuck in a hotel is a nightmare. I would pay anything to back home in my own bed with my missus and cat.

If you mean South London ON I definitely agree with you. In fact the whole of London Ontario is boring.

Tetchy i see. :p

I've been sick in hotels, awful. Never a south London, England (Gozit) hotel. Am surprised they have them

This big country lark. There's now a world map up on the wall in Emerge and it must be a super dooper Mercator projection as the UK is huge on it, you could only two of them into Australia.

To put it into perspective, living on the edge of the North Atlantic, it only take 4.5hrs to fly to London. Which is why you Vancouverites really do seem to be living in a different country to me.;)

As it happens the 10 hr cross Canada bit was merely the warm up for another 14.5hrs to Sydney. But thats worthy of another thread entitled "Australia - a long way from anywhere else. Except New Zealand." I'll probably post that somewhere else though.;)

Yours jetlaggedly,

I feel your pain we a did a trip to Melbourne, to be precise Vancouver to Heathrow, Heathrow to Copenhagen, Copenhagen to Doha, Doha to Melbourne and then did it in reverse.

Los Angeles to Sydney was bad enough for me, could not imagine living on the other side of Canada and taking almost as long just to get to Vancouver before taking the long flight over the pacific.

I used to like flying, but these days 2-3 hours is sufficient for me...lol

Wimbledon, actually. It's a nice place, which is just as well. I've been confined to my room since Sunday. This week has been a write-off on the work front. Quite how I will make it home to Canada tomorrow, I do not know. I had a cup of coffee just now. It would have been easier to just chuck it down the bog in the first place and cut out the middleman.
