Canada
For those who wish to immigrate to Canada and may be daunted by the full immigration process federally, there is a provincial (and I mean that in best sense) program in Nova Scotia whereby a person who wishes to immigrate can do so with more ease than the federal program, which is a fair program, but slow and like all large programs, daunting. The program url is http://www.novascotiaimmigration.com. Nova Scotia also is only 5 hours flying time for London. The economy is not as vibrant as may be in other parts of Canada, but if you are a skilled worker, there is work, work, work, so that should not daunt you. It is probably more affordable to purchase homes and that like. It is small and has 4,000 feet of oceanfront and plenty of lakes and things, so a nature lover's paradise.
The weather, one fellow with whom I was talking said, "do you what your government says about your weather on Environment Canada?. I couldn't fathom how you would explain Canadian weather, we are almost as large Russia and almost the largest country in the world. Nova Scotia has the same weather as Massachusetts, but the Yukon has the same weather as Alaska...we have little snow in relation to the interior of the country, more sun, warmest year round, so ....if you have thought about Canada and are daunted by the process, then try my suggestion. Also, you do not have to stay in Nova Scotia long term if it does not suit you. |
