Yes - it's not very exciting round here atm is it. I miss the halcyon days of butch's hissy fit. I'd throw one but you need 10k+ posts to make that kind of shenanigans interesting.

Its acceptable in North America, primarily the USA, but the acknowledged correct spelling in the UK and Canada is with an 's'

FWIW I remember an episode of inspector morose where the great detective alluded to spelling with a zed being something of a public school trait....

s or z is fine I guess. Picking on spelling in forums always struck me as something people do when they have nothing better to say, but that's pretty much the nature of this thread I guess....
