I dont see how location has anything to do with your ability to spot and deal with inapropriate posts.

Come to think of it Nice is probably not top of the list of requirements either.

thanks but no, i have enough moderating in my day job, i relish the opportunity to be flippant and obnoxious somewhere i can get away with it to a certain extent.

location does matter i am afraid. being able to put windscreen washer in my vehicle does not qualify me to carry out advanced mechanical repairs.

Thinking about it, yes, location matters. People post here from the UK and Canada (and elsewhere) In an ideal world there would be mods online to cover all the associated time zone prime time posting periods, so having UK and Canadian mods is a positive advantage if you ask me.

Its not a mods job to adjudicate on the technicalities of any information posted about the subject under discussion, just to keep things civil and within the published rules....
