CALLING ANYONE WITH CONNECTIONS IN MANITOBA!

Jamie is well aware that the momentum that has built up in Ontario is probably going to end at the border of Manitoba for him. This has had a huge effect on his morale and he is leaving Thunder Bay today to start the run out of Ontario.

Is there anybody out there that has connections to Manitoba/Winnipeg along the Trans Canada highway that could help. Either, hockey teams, schools, local people, clubs, running clubs, media anything that could help! Or do you live along this route yourself or know of anyone who does?

Anything to help boost his spirits would be amazing.

Its a long shot, I know this doesn't appeal to everyone on here but check out his videos anyway if you just want to spread the word or follow him on facebook.

We've supplied him with a satellite tracker too so you can follow him. He'll be switching it on this afternoon when he leaves and it only doesn't transmit when he is resting. But at least you will see him running a marathon per day now until he reaches Vancouver in December.

Do we have to keep seeing this thread (being bumped) until he gets to Vancouver?

I'm generally not opening it. But it does show up as an unread/bold thread in the list of threads, so keeps catching my attention.

Quite right Shard you carry on complaining, in fact, I think you should write your complaint in the thread every day until he reaches Vancouver!

He's stretching this out a bit. I thought he'd be on his way back by now.

He needed a better angle than just running though, its been done to death I thought. He should of done it on a spacehopper or had hedgehogs in his backpack which he gave out on his trip.

Oink - watch one of his videos (very entertaining!) you'll see he's completely unaided, tent in the buggy and sleeping on the side of the road and eating tinned fish out of a can and scoops of coconut oil to keep him going. Sometimes he gets lucky and someone gives up their garden, shed, toilet or a bed for the night and a hot meal. No RV with a warm bed, hot drinks on tap and nutritionists and masseurs following him. But even if you this sort of thing doesn't interest you its still worth watching a couple of his videos, he will give you a laugh.

Runs a marathon a day and has no plan other than just keep running till he gets to the water on the other side!

Pshaw! Eddie Izzard did that and he was in stilettoes.

Best of British to the guy, but he should really stop mucking around and get a proper job. Tell him that next time you speak to him, bloody layabouts.
