Re: Calling Class of 2007
July 2007 for us, 2 years feels like 2 months and we are all very happy here. No trips back to the UK though, more important things to spend money on at the moment. Maybe in time for the London Olympics.

Re: Calling Class of 2007
Arrived 5th August 2007 initially on a work permit, but have since got PR. Still love it here and have no plans to move back to the UK in the foreseeable future. Long term? Who knows, without a crystal ball!
OH enjoys his job more here; younger son settled in straightaway and is very happy - we have whole weekends when we don't see him for more than a few minutes at a time because he is off with various friends; older son still has days when he says he wants to move back to the UK, then in the next breath he is off out with friends to go skating/swimming/bike riding/sleep-overs.......etc. I help out at school regularly and have made many friends, both Canadian and English (well it is Okotoks after all!!) and really enjoy my life here. Been back once for Christmas. It was nice to see friends and family, but equally nice when we got back to Calgary airport and the passport officer said "Welcome home" as she stamped our passports! We made the right decision for us! Lisa |
Re: Calling Class of 2007
We came out in May 2007.
Still here, still love it.:D |
Re: Calling Class of 2007
We arrived here on June 7th 2007 too!
It's not always been easy, but we're now PRs. OH is doing a job he loves and I'm working in an 'ok' job. I've been back to the UK once, for just a week. I couldn't wait to get home to Canada! |
