Calling card for long distance to UK

Hi everyone

Which calling cards are you recommending for calling the UK? I have CICI Lync but for some reason the card doesn't work anymore when calling the UK pensions dept- you can get through but then they don't hear you once you get a person.

Thanks in advance

We use Smartreach when calling the UK, it’s been fine when speaking to HMRC.

As an alternative, consider localphone.com. It's possible to set up a local number in Canada that will forward to a UK number(s) of your choice. Rates ~0.6p/minute. Haven't tried this for an 0800 number - but it has worked for calling family members.

Note: Today (8th February) the SSL certificate on their website has expired so it doesn't load properly and is almost unreadable - hopefully by the time you read this they will have fixed it!
