Calgary Flames
Evening All,
We're thinking of taking in a Flames game whilst on our Calgary Reccie trip in January. Any (constructive ) suggestions on where's best to sit in the arena? We're looking for good seats that don't cost the earth.
Suggestions welcome.
Cheers All

Re: Calgary Flames
You can fairly easily spend nearly that on food alone at a game.

Re: Calgary Flames
I disagree with that advice.
A Hitmen game is not a good place to watch the Calgary Flames in action, which is what they want to do.

Reading between the lines its just what they think they want to do. They want to watch some decent hockey without vast expense. I could be wrong of course (it could happen) and they may want to watch some crap hockey at vast expense, but unless the Leafs happen to be in town they would have to come to Toronto instead...

I'm certainly no officianado of Ice Hockey. Mind you saying that I'm not an officianado of sport in general. I support Northampton Town Football Club. Need I say more??

Re: Calgary Flames
I don't want to knock junior hockey as it is a great game, played at a very high standard, and the Hitment are one of the best teams in the league. It is very good value as well.
That said, the NHL is the elite level of the sport where the best players in the world play. If you are only going to see one game, and can't make the Olympics, then go and see the Flames. With a bit of luck they will lose.

In fairness it sort of depends if its a Canadian who's followed "soccer" for years and wants to see what Anfield is all about before its moved and sanitised into the bigmac@homedepotarena or something equally awful, or if its a Canadian with little interest in sport who just wants to be exposed to something that sets Fnglish heart aglow...
