Recent...relatively recent...as in 30 or 40 years of living in a country where a week at zero gets pensioners Exceptionally Severe Weather Payments and then in the first Canadian winter strolling to the shops or cycling there at -20:blink:

I agree with that too...but I have a jacket that I'm comfortable wearing here at a far colder temperature than I'd have worn it in Bristol. And in my first winter here too. Maybe I'm just weird. Yet others here suggest something similar. My OH had bought me a winter coat for Christmas and when the guy saw it he asked where she'd found it, because it'd be perfect for springtime at home. |
