Buried or cremated in Canada or the UK?
You've immigrated to Canada but you're obviously going to die in the next few decades, so the decision has to be made about where would you like your body to be buried? Do you want to have it shipped or flown back in the UK so you can grace a 13th century village church near your loved ones or are they all over here so you'd rather do it in Canada? What about if you've chosen to be cremated? Do you have you plans about your ashes? Scattered on a favourite lake, in the sea, a familiar picnic spot or just in the back garden? Interesting decisions that we'll have to make I suppose.

Re: Buried or cremated in Canada or the UK?
Its a good questions, and my answer has changed much over the last 8 years, from wanting to be taken back to England, to being halved up, to all sorts.
At the moment I want the following No open casket (so uncoof!) I am part of an anglican church so an anglican funeral with all teh trimmings then cremated and intombed in Mount Pleasant Cemetry (Ive always lived next to it and love it in there) Then a good English piss up at the pub. No colourful clothes and celebration of life crap either. im dead wear black and cry for me LOL If my family really want some of me in England then fine take me, im dead LOL |

Ill be past caring. Those that I leave behind can decide to do whatever they like to celebrate...

The recent thread titled "Canada's ten worst place to live..." makes you think about these things.

i expecte medical science to use whatever parts of me they can , then i suspect my corpse will be used as some kind of prop in various pranks by med students before being disposed of somehow !!
as has been said before I will be dead so really wont care |

I would like to be stuffed and "statue-fied" and turned into a rather disturbing coat stand.
Actually, it would be doubly disturbing for any children looking to hang up their coats. |
