If one is from London then all type of peas are equal for this purpose.

Oh I really do know the difference. I got the recipe from my family. Did they also tell you to use white pepper not black? A bit of sugar and a bit of vinegar, butter if youre feeling swanky.

Dbd, I'd expect nothing else from a Londoner.

Just some options if you don't feel like making it yourself:
Since you live in Surrey, C-Lovers do great mushy peas, very authentic. https://c-lovers.com/
Also frozen Yorkshire Puddings can be found in superstore, usually with the desserts for some reason. https://www.presidentschoice.ca/prod...ng/20025468_EA

Yorkshire puddings are fairly easy to make though once you get the hang of it.

I'm not much of a cook, but I'll see about it next time I'm up North.
BTW, isn't your Bedford a bit southerly for real mushy peas?

Crikey, how do you remember that? I was only brought up there, Co Durham born to Co Durham family. It's like being an immigrant, you take much of your foods and values from your parents.

Oh ok. Only recalled the Bedford bit, no idea why. Wasn't aware of the Co Durham connexion.
