Brit TV shows
I just got around to watching The Casual Vacancy. Brilliant series.
Fabulous countryside and village too. Could make you really homesick.

As a family we still enjoy watching the old episodes of Time Team. Now history like that is something I do miss.

I watch them on Camposat.Tv but it's more by luck that I catch an episode. It's also available on TVO http://tvo.org/programs/time-team (you can watch them online here too)

Have been laughing my head off every week at 'Would I lie to you?'. Premise of show is lame 'Call my bluff' ish thing, but Lee Mack and David Mitchell really make me laugh.

Odd isn't it...
Numerous different threads with many posts each time (almost weekly) about how to access Brit TV and/or iPlayer issues yet hardly anyone comments on Brit TV.
Not even in the gogglebox thread.

I love Graham Norton, Happy Valley etc- sadly I will admit that I enjoyed BakeOff because of the technical difficulty of baking complex stuff under serious pressure- I know that I will no doubt be ridiculed. I love nature programmes but Attenborough hasn't really been replaced yet so maybe the pickings for us to watch are a bit lean... Or am I being unfair?
I will look at Grand Designs as I did enjoy that in the past and will also have a look at the Night Manager although this looks to be actually a UK/US collaboration - also goofy try the Casual Vacancy.
Oh, and I miss Buzzcocks

Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle is very good. Naffing Quakers they should assimilate.

Re: Brit TV shows
Over on the MBTTUK forum there's a thread for Brit TV which has developed to include "good" TV, not just Brit stuff. You can pick up a lot from there.

Broadchurch was, of course, very good although some folk misunderstood a few things about the second series.
I make the odd 'discovery' from the guardian too.
Line of Duty makes a reappearance soon. Very like Between The Lines if you remember that.
I used to be an avid movie watcher and almost no TV but these days it's closer to 50/50 taking into account Brit, American and other European TV stuff.

I'm an avid fan of the Bake Off and am hoping it should return to PBS soon, the baking is good, but the personality of the people is so refreshing, they are nice to each other, generally supportive and they don't backbite...wonderful Sunday evening therapy....if it makes me sad or ridiculed

Happy Valley, mostly female cop drama. Season 1 is on Netflix and Season 2 is almost over the BBC.
