Bread makers in Canada
Hello, would anybody be able to recommend a bread maker please. We had a Panasonic in the UK but the only ones I've seen here are a Cuisinart or a Black and Decker. Thank you.

I have seen the black and decker and it looks very similar to the one I had in the UK. Would be interested to see what replies you get as I prefer to make own bread

We have a Morphy Richards that we bought here. Have only used it for a basic white loaf but that has been fine. |

We have a Black and Decker one. It makes acceptable bread!

Don't buy the Cuisinart, it's rubbish. The clips that hold the pan down are badly designed and are next to useless.

Same here - my OH swears by her Panasonic machine, and we purchased the same one over here (model SD-YD250). She got it online I believe.
Also would you be able to tell me whether it makes pizza dough and naan dough. Sorry to be so specific but we did use our last machine a lot. Thank you. |

I have a Black an Decker with two paddles. It makes excellent bread everytime and it is so nice to have to two paddles. The paddles are straighter than the ones I had in the UK and come out quite easily and do not leave such a big hole. We bought it from Canadian Tire and I would have no hesitation in buying it again :)

Hello, thank you for your reply. May I ask the same question as before, does it make pizza and naan dough ?
They all make dough - programme 8 is described as:- "Prepares dough that can be shaped to make coffee cakes, rolls, pizza and other breads baked in a conventional oven" |
Re: Bread makers in Canada
My bread maker is a corpulent and oily Austrian who slaps the dough across his sweaty back to add the required salt. $2.60 full a loaf of unsliced Hungarian Rye or sourdough rye. Mmmm-mm!

Thank you for all the replies. I have seen that make but you have to get it shipped from the US, is that what you did ?

Re: Bread makers in Canada
Thank you all for your replies, it has certainly helped to make up my mind. I shall see if I can get it in Canada otherwise I may have to venture across the border.
I have only once seen the queen.....in a bulletproof glass topped vehicle cruising along the main street in Southall 5 years ago......I suspect however I have completely missed the point... |
