The Bread Mafia who else is at it?

Are you like me just the average Joe/Jane who is getting sick of getting ripped of by multinational companies. Who can you trust these days?

Im sure gas/petrol prices raises are done without any collusion by the big players to fix prices especially when long weekends are imminent.
Oh those wonderful travel insurance policies we take out when we fancy a week or two away in some exotic place.
How about those non Govt mandated car insurance policies we take out?
Should I buy brand name or generic products especially certain drug type products.
Politicians of all stripes who promise this that and the other come voting time?
Im sure the lists go on and on but FFS we now have the Bread Mafia

Isn't the bread mafia an old story? Loblaws gave everyone $25 in compensation.

Indeed. On the rest... Gas prices are regulated by the province here & insurance (cripplingly expensive) is more a function of a small and litigious market here depending on whether you believe the ambulance chasing lawyers or the gouging insurance industry.;) As to the rest...duh, capitalism.

Its an old story but now with more players being identified and possible criminal charges. So how many loaves of bread did you get for $25? Probably still got ripped off

I didn't buy bread with my $25, it's a sad week when we need store bought bread. I blew the money on champagne and caviar.

I applied at the earliest opportunity. What did you do to get priority treatment, live in Ontario?

The Bread Mafia, who else is at it? Anyone who can make a bit of dough I suppose. :getcoat:

Does the $25 from Loblaws count as Sourdough?

So why, after stealing money from those who could least afford it, and has been doing so for years.. Why are they granted immunity? Weren't the police up to doing their job and actually investigating this widespread outrage? It's a disgrace when bread becomes too expensive to buy so that Loblaws etc can fatten their dividends.

Best thing to do is buy as little in Canada as possible.

I feel a bit guilty taking that $25. Not really.
But I can probably count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I paid full/regular price for a loaf at Superstore. Or anywhere, come to that.

Quite! I'd started to assume they were just waiting until a registration period ended, then mailing them all out at once...
