Bowflex v Gym v nothing
Anyone use a Bowflex ?
I not looking for a new one I just want a "I am too lazy to do this" cheap one off of kijiji, seen a few for less than $300
I have free weights but need something more resistance based
Thoughts ?

I was faced with a similar choice earlier this year. In the end I signed up with the wife to Goodlife Fitness gym through our company. Been at it a few weeks now and it all seems to be working out well. They have tons of equipment. Good personal trainers if you go that extra ($) route.
You may want to look at some Bowflex reviews. Here's one:

Just use your weights and join a running or if your knees are bad a bike club. If you want something more varied try a local CrossFit gym.

I have just joined Goodlife too, doesn't open until June though I know if I have something at home I am more likely to put it off, but I am more likey to go somewhere if I'm paying for it.

My rehab people say I am to do 2-3 days a week resistance exercises, they gave me a band to use but I feel like a tit using it. I do free weights but chest pressing maybe too much for a stented heart so the Bowflex was my next step and then my gym be complete.
My mission is to get a Bowflex for less than $150, if I don't get one then it's not an issue.

I'm the opposite...when we lived in NJ I had a home gym. Nordictrak treadmill and elliptical...bicycle...plus a couple of other things. I used it every morning for a hour or so. I also used our pool during the warm months. We have a gym and pool in the condo building...have never used them. Joined Goodlife...didn't go...so cancelled that.

Or just say "sod it!" and get about 5 eight-balls of blow and a couple of brasses and go out with a bang.

BTW nearest YMCA is in Scarborough or Oshawa, both a 15-20 mins away.

I know I won't go to the gym. I'm thinking of getting some of those rubbery dumbbell jobbies to get the tits in shape.

One of the things I don't like about going to the Jim is having to wear headphones. At home I can have my sound bar on a full blast in the basement.
