Bowen Technique
Has anyone used this method of therapy? Did it work for you? Did you have any side effects? A work colleague practices this method and has suggested she might be able to help my painful feet:fingerscrossed: I have googled and got some info but wondered if there were any real life people out there!

Re: Bowen Technique

Re: Bowen Technique
I had bad PF for years: finally my physio had me do "ballistic stretches" the whole goal being to break the scar tissue around the tendons. It worked!!!!

I'd actually worked that one out as soon as I posted the link! Brain just a bit slow in this heat  More interested now in what was being directed at me, although I think it's pretty obvious... :frown: |

Then I assumed a rather offensive "title" was being bestowed on me, rather than the poster just making light of the fact that I wasn't very quick on the uptake  |

Hi Piff, I regularly have Bowen treatment for my back pain - it has been absolutely brilliant. When I first had it done I thought that it was really bizarre.
I can highly recommend it to anyone. Karen :) Karen |
Re: Bowen Technique
Thank you both Karen and Frank - I think I'll give it a go - worth a try for my aches and pains - she has already told me i'm really tense so if she can loosen me up and nothing else that should be good!

Some of the people I worked with went to her for treatment, including some of the doctors and they said it worked. |
Re: Bowen Technique
Thanks for that - it's good to know about side effects and stuff.

Re: Bowen Technique
I had it done on a trapped nerve and muscle spasm, it worked ok. My FIL has bad arthritis and tried it, he was really impressed with the result.

Re: Bowen Technique
Cool - thanks for that. When the lady gets back from holidays I'll book a couple of sessions!

Re: Bowen Technique
Hi,
I had Bowen on a trapped nerve in my neck which I had left too long and was causing problems in my right arm. When I went for my first treatment I was very sceptical as it doesn't really seem as though the therapist is doing much but I have to say it totally worked for me. Good Luck |
