Bossy boots

Article on banning the word bossy in relation to women...

The thing is many women and girls are bossy! It's a gender trait.

Partial, but when you watch children playing, it's quite obvious that the girls use "bossiness" to get their way, whereas boys are more collaborative or competitive, not bossy. Definitely a difference.

i disagree with that and you demonstrate the whole point of this action. When women are dominant, give orders, organise, they are called bossy. When men do it they are seen in more positive light, as leaders, competitive as you say.

I call bossy men bossy, same as bossy women. Some people are commanding, whatever you call it, but some are just bossy.

The funny thing is, when men are called bossy (as Caretaker illustrates) they couldn't care less, it's part of their persona; but for dominant women, somehow it's an issue from which they need (according to the action) to be shielded.

Its a bit like a dog whistle, I can't hear the bossiness frequency, especially when HID tries it on.

An acquired skill, to be sure.

This is rubbish...if we all stood around in a democratic huddle nothing would ever get done! Evidently had I married a babe magnet like Oink I would have been swept off my delicate little stilettoes by his decisiveness....having opted for a Canadian, and a male too boot, I have to 'organise' or nothing would ever get sorted.

This is the land of meetings...where nothing is actually said...I was not, and am not, a bossy boots...but my organizational bossy trotters are emerging!

I like having someone organise me. Left to my own devices all I seem to achieve is another level on Candy Crush (which to my mind is achievement enough).
