Good point. I guess the 737 branding is very strong though, and perhaps some commonality of parts.

The branding is (almost) everything? "We've been making this aircraft for 50 years!"

Re: Boeing 737 Max 8
Yeah no way he could avoid doing it once Canada did it.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out now. |

Re: Boeing 737 Max 8
I gather Garneau said he'd seen, or been told about, a Satellite image that showed the Ethiopian plane having trouble with the nose dipping.
Daughter is coming to visit us, due to leave Halifax this coming Saturday and returning the following Saturday, travelling with WestJet. I talked to her as soon as I heard the Garneau media interview. She's checked with her travel agent .......... she wasn't booked on a Max 8 in the first place, so no problems with having to re-book phew! |

Not satellite imagery, but rather on-board tracking data now streamed to Satellite via a Canadian tech start up. Still in its trial phase they were Ble to provide more data on the Ethiopian crash before the black box was analyzed. https://paxex.aero/2019/03/aireon-ad...max-grounding/ |
