Billy Connolly...

Going to his 'gig' in Vancouver tomorrow night - last date on his Canadian tour.

Looking forward to it

Anyone been to any of his other gigs on his way across Canada?

Had I known about the tour, we would have gone, we went last time around.

That's a coincidence. I watched a youtube clip of his prostate routine just the other day.

Went to see him in Halifax this time around and a couple of years ago.

He did have some notes to keep him on track on his stool but didn't really effect his show.

Went to see him about 4/5 years ago when we were in Halifax. He was amazing I nearly peed my pants laughing!

Saw him in Alberta years ago. Funniest guy on the planet - a natural comedian. Met him in the parking lot after the show - very friendly. A credit to Scotland.

We were there for his first night in Halifax. Loved it. I thought it was sad to see him so aged and not bouncing around the stage, but he can still make tears roll down my face.

There were three Canadian ladies sat in front of us who didn't seem too impressed with his 'language'; all I could think about that was 'didn't you do any research beforehand?'

Glad to say we've finally been to see him.

We saw him in Victoria at the start of the month. Very funny! Parkinson's has slowed him down but his humour is as great as usual! Loved hearing him chat about areas of Scotland and his escapades......:
As he said in the show you'd better not be drunk going to see him or you'd miss half of what he said!

Anybody seen his suicide bomber trainer performance? "Right, lads, I'm only going to show you this once."
The first time I saw Billy it was at the Student's Union at the University of Alberta. He was wearing his Ffyfe's banana boots and a black jump suit. My nine year old daughter got all the jokes and fell off her seat laughing.A very snooty acquaintance was sitting a couple of row ahead of us. When we saw him next day, he said he was deeply offended by Billy's style of humour. My daughter transfixed him with look of innocence mixed with carefully contrived bewilderment and said "Oh, but you stayed right to the end, didn't you?" I think puce is the correct name for the color his face turned.

The first skit from "wreck on Tour" sums up the swearing thing. Have a listen here:

Warning: contains profanity! ;););)
