I do wish it was staying in my garage, but it's too rich for me, the guy in NB has spent almost $35k on 2 bikes and still needs to pay shipping!

Our son has just bought a 650 Suzuki Blvd, 2006, and Is very very happy with it. I thought I might have a conniption fit when he was driving it back from the other side of Moncton, but the course that he did was fantastic and seems to have instilled a really safety conscious attitude. Now my husband says he’d like to get one like it as it’s so light. It is a nice looking thing actually. We did already have a 1981 Kawasaki 440 which we brought with us.

Insurance for an 18 year old is somewhat more expensive than I might have imagined...but will apparently go down as he gets older

There's an old bloke in my village in Norfolk who showed me his collection of classic motorcycles - he keeps them all in his living room! Yes, he is a bachelor.

In 2016, he sold one of his bikes. It was a 1924 Croft-Cameron Super Eight which his father had bought in the 1950s from the original owner for 50 quid. It sold at auction for GBP 203,100!!!

I definitely prefer the name "Intruder" they're called in the rest of the world. Is the 50 the cubic inch displacement or summat?

Anyhow, good luck with the test next week. I remember taking my M in 2013 on a bike I'd owned since 1990 and feeling the whole thing was a bit of a parody.

yes 50 Cubic Inch or 800cc

Pain having to do test again, but on a positive note I am doing the course then test over a weekend day and a week day evening, that helps to substantially knock down the insurance cost

That's a nice little nest egg! I have thought about bringing one of mine indoors to work on during the winter but sense has prevailed so far 😂 OH quite often has bits of car to clean up or paint, usually non smelly stuff in front of the telly.

PS if you haven't found it already for a great road, Twyn Rivers Drive on the Durham-TO border (Rouge). A beauty!
