Default Best way to transfer money from the UK?

Hi Peeps,
We got some cheques for Christmas and banked them in the UK while we where home. Whats the best way to transfer the money to our Canadian account?

Many thanks,
Lynsey

just do a direct bank transfer with your online account tbh!

HBOS were offering this with no-fees if you use the discount code "WINTERWARMER" when completing the Txn

If the funds are not urgent you can deposit UK cheques into your Canadian bank account. The hold is around 30 days.

Do you still have your UK debit cards? I am working with my UK account and have found it cheaper to just withdraw from UK with my card at an ATM here...it only costs me £1.50 per withdrawal. I did transfer money online from UK account to Canadian account and it cost me £15 in the UK and $15 here in Canada to receive the money!
