BBC buffering

Has anyone noticed recently the BBC iplayer buffering a lot? I'm using media hint. Weird cos i was watching using the HD option and all was well. Now even SD keeps buffering.

Mediahint hasn't been good for a couple of weeks, although Tunlr was poor today for us too.

Maybe too many jocks using Skype for Burns night and overloading the internet out of the UK...

I'm overseas at the moment....Tunlr has become painful to use on the road...so a tried media hint....which did not work at all.

Looking for alternatives this morning....

There's another thread about it somewhere.

It seems to be an issue only with BBC as ITV and C4 have been fine. Even radio 5Live has been giving me the "insufficient bandwidth" nonsense last night and this morning.

You should know by now that everyone's "obvious" is different. There have been enough posts over the years to show that what works for someone doesn't necessarily work for others. (unless you mean move back to the UK...but even that might not work  )

Some use expat shield and are happy with it, for example, while for me and others it's not done a damn thing.

Firefox "Stealthy" has worked for some while for others not only does it not gain anything, it's operation even prevents access to some things.

My point was that instead of people coming on saying this and that, it will be better if they provide a working solution instead. Talk is cheap, we get it that it's not working....so what are we going to do about this now i.e. where is the solution?

You generally don't seem to need help on that score. And you've been missed!

Using hsselite is working ok for me, but I tend to click download on iplayer rather than watch live.
Gotta get it working for next weeks top gear new series.
