I am so sorry. It is terrible not to pass an exam when you have put so much work into it. You'll just have to find someone to work off your frustrations on.

Hold on, I am sure that I can hear BC volunteering for that one :D

Can you retake your exam? And if so after how long?

Oh *****, $hit and b@ll@*ks.
That would certainly make life difficult for you then. Is there anything else that you could do in the meantime? I mean is there another way round to get to the same point but earning while you do?

I know that these exams are not easy, my son's friend has just failed his physiotherapy exams too. He is now looking at a total change in career (in the UK this is).

I think that you need another large drink, lots of support and encouragement from all of us here and I am sure that something positive will come of this. :)

Sorry to hear that Morw. You're not obviously incompetent - I've taken exams in the UK and have phucked them up not because of incompetence in the topic but because I had a completely different (and completely valid) interpretations of what various questions were actually asking. Cross-cultural misunderstandings are probably the culprit here.

Still....

Have you contacted Calgary Health to see if you continue working?

I am really sorry to hear that, was it a big 'miss'?

I am sure I am perfectly competent to work in the areas in which I work. eg I can do hip and knee replacements standing on my head. But there are areas in which I have not practised for 20 plus years, and I did not study these areas enough I suppose.

I shall have to call the licensing board tomorrow to see if I can extend my licence to practise under supervision or what my options are. It's just really bad timing financially.

Well I've just seen a client with a shoulder replacement, but I think she was right way up .... and I was. It was hard being cheery and encouraging though, when I opened that envelope on my way to see her!
