I'm afraid I don't much follow Canadian politics, I don't doubt that someone who does can provide outrageous examples from the east. I have to say I very much enjoyed the Mayor of Toronto saying that he couldn't attend a conference in Africa as when he thinks of Africa he thinks of being cooked in a pot.
