Alberta Passenger Rail
 

Quite a big announcement out of Alberta yesterday, apparently they are in the process of developing plans for a passenger rail network to connect up the major cities.

They have been talking about it for so many years.

True, but the rapid population growth in Alberta seems to have pushed this a bit more, as well as the premier acknowledging that adding highway lanes is less cost effective than rail.

Not the 1st time there has been rapid growth, but this is the most promising it's been. But then Red Deer was promised a new hospital years ago, that's only just having some funding now it's desperate.
