Default Advice needed from UK solicitor

Hi everyone,

I couldn't find the 'right' board to post this but as the help I need will help our immigration, here it is......

Are there any UK solicitors or somebody with legal knowledge of housing issues (Sale/Letting) that would be prepared to help us with their advice?

It's a complicated issue and far too long for the boards so if anyone could help and wouldn't mind me getting in touch via email, please let me know.

Many thanks in advance
Babs

Go on then - I'm sure I'm gonna regret this but I am game

I am a UK solicitor (not a conveyancer or letting specialist) but will help out if I can or refer you to someone that can if I can't

What is the issue ?

I am also not a UK solicitor, and will be of no use at all in answering any question

But you should be OK - it looks like a few people above know a bit about it

Hi I rent out properties in England and Calgary, moved to Calgary in December and rented out my house in England before selling it last month.

If you have not had your question answered yet send it to me and I will see if I can help.

Cheers
Glenn

Hello and thanks to everyone who replied especially DTLE.

We've had a few things pointed out to us which may mean the issues we had make our sale a no-goer anyway.

Yonk, I'm still interested in anything else you may come up with if you don't mind.

Hi, sorry, my brain isn't working as I'm a wee bit sick at the mo.

I think it's best to go with what DTLE says if he has pointed out some issues...if it was me, I think I would try to keep things simple, if you see what I mean. Anything complicated can make life quite difficult, especially where possession is involved and it can makes the conveyancing difficult or impossible.
