This is not a knock Canada thread as many TV ads in the UK used to get my goat but there are a few here that make me want to lob a brick through the screen:

Wal*mart - "it's true"

Whats f*****g true, the fact that you followed me home, crawled on the roof and shouted down the rooflight you moron - and all of your colleagues that got my cell phone number / house keys. Take a look down the barrel of this magnum and p**s off. :frown:

(Yes that one really bugs me!)

Peptobismol - lady dancing a la Pop Idol for geriatrics.

The twin towers anniversary coin that has the bit that pops up in the middle - do not tell me that anyone thinks that this is tasteful. (obviously merkan but its on so it qualifies).

There's loads and I could go on but just had to get that off my chest!!! (oh and the way that some woman says erbs instead of herbs in a food ad - and i've checked with the girls at work that its pronounced HHHHHHerbs here)

Totally agree about the Pepto commercial, in fact ALL Pepto commericals are rubbush. Find the Buckley's commercial annoying too!
This is why I have a PVR, record all the shows and skip the ads

OKAY! for nearly 3 years I have been wondering what Lysol is in the UK, you know that ad with the whistling - is it Toilet Duck?

The things that bug me are 'erbs (thinking it's the 'merkan channels?).
The frequency of the ads.
The repetitiveness.
The showing of the same ad more than once in the same ad slot, we do not need to see the ad repeated straight after, we are intelligent people - well maybe not as we are watching the T.V.

I've seen fewer irritating ads here than the UK, but there are far fewer ads aren't there?

It's quite common to have the same one shown THREE times in one ad break.

I love the one that says

"Take Plavix, because you're no match for a dangerous clot"

We all know a few of those don't we?:D
